Herbert Pressman of Bryn Mawr, an attorney in Philadelphia for 56 years, died February 25, 2016, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born July 26, 1929 he grew up in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia.

Herb practiced law in Center City Philadelphia and formed a joint practice with his wife Barbara Wapner Pressman in 1973 in which they practiced together for over 40 years. He specialized in real estate law but he never hesitated to help others wherever that led. He retired in 2014 at the age of 84.

Herb graduated in 1951 from Temple University with a BS in Accounting. He proudly served during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1954 as a First Lieutenant in the Auditor General's Office. After his honorable discharge from the Airforce he attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School on the GI bill and graduated in 1957. He practiced as a CPA and lawyer until 1975 after which he focused solely on the practice of law. Herb also enjoyed teaching accounting at Temple Univ. Evening School of Business from 1958 to 1968.

He is survived by: his wife of 59 years, the former Barbara Ellen Wapner; a daughter Cynthia Schwartz; three sons, Richard (Patricia); Craig "Chip" (Sandra); Andrew "Drew" (Shari) and nine grandchildren: Noga, Sasha, Yael, Robert, Ana, Mika, Cole, Lily and Ella who were the focus of his unending love and who will miss their beloved "Pop Pop."

Herb was a kind and generous man, remembered for his humor, great smile, empathy for others and his everlasting patience. He leaves a legacy of a life full of love for his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, February 28 at Har Zion Temple, 1500 Hagys Ford Rd, Penn Valley. Interment is in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
