William James Gallagher, Sr., of Bryn Mawr, PA, passed away on August 5, 2020 at The Bryn Mawr Hospital.  He was 78.

Son of the late Dennis J. and Anne McGlinchey Gallagher he was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on February 7, 1942. William was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, Class of 1959.  He was a veteran of the US Army and was stationed in Germany.  After his service in the Army, William worked for White Motors, James P. Barone Paving and Gregory Paving. He retired in his early 60's due to health issues, which gave him more time to spend with his family and friends; working on handyman projects and his favorite past time, playing the lottery. He has left us with many fond memories and will be greatly missed.

William was the beloved husband of Mary Gallagher (nee Haggerty). Devoted father of Sheila G. O'Brien (Robert), William J., Jr. (Lisa) and Maryann A. Gallagher.  Loving grandfather of Brittany, Brandin, Debora and William, III.  Dear brother of Rev. Dennis Gallagher, O.S.A., Thomas Gallagher (Marilyn), Edward Gallagher and the late Rosemary McNulty (Charles), Florence T. Finnerty (John), Leo Gallagher (Mary Agnes) and Patricia Bruce (Bob).  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services are private for the family.
