Dr. William T. "Bill" Chain, Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, surrounded by his immediate family following an ardent and courageous battle with cancer.

Dr. Chain is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Christine, loving sons William John "BJ" and Matthew, daughters-in-law Vanessa and Susan, grandchildren William Thomas and Alexandria, siblings Helen, John, Kate and Bryan and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dr. Chain, a graduate of Lower Merion High School, La Salle University and Jefferson Medical College, succeeded his father in providing unparalleled medical care and advice for patients as a lifelong resident of Narberth.  A loyal and compassionate doctor, husband, father, brother and friend, Dr. Chain was especially proud of his near three decades of sobriety and touched many lives as he inspired and counseled others through their own struggles with addiction.

The family is deeply grateful for your thoughts and prayers and anticipates celebrating his life at a service to be held in the spring of 2021.
