Wayne H. Lewis of Bryn Mawr, PA died peacefully January 13 at age 91.

Wayne was born in New York City, the son of Harry Wayne Lewis Jr and the former Eleanor Diegoli. He graduated from Harvard University with degrees in History and Economics and was a company commander in the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. He was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Investor Services Ltd, an investment counseling firm catering to small trust companies. While growing his business, he spent off hours as a Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Chain Des Rotisseurs and helped create the Anthony Wayne Foundation to oversee the contents of the Waynesborough Museum in Paoli, PA. For many years he divided his time between Villanova, PA and Scottsdale, AZ, where he had a home in the Desert Mountain community and spent many days off-roading and exploring our country's National Parks. Later in life, he created a Professorship at John Hopkins University to provide, in his words, "a continuing, significant benefit to mankind and, concurrently, a continuing acknowledgement that I've tried to leave this world a better place for my being here."

Mr. Lewis was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane, who died in 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Alane Lewis, and his granddaughter, Alexandra Victoria Scannell.

Relatives and friends are invited on Friday January 20th to his Viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne PA.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
