Vivian Volk Keber, 92, of Villanova, PA., went to be with the Lord on All Souls
Day, November 2, 2006 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr PA.
Born in New York City in 1913, Vivian was the daughter of the late Nicholas and
Helen (Diehl) Volk. She attended the college of New Rochelle in New
Rochelle, NY.
Vivian married Peter Keber, a lawyer, in 1937. After living in Glen
Rock, New Jersey for 21 years, they took up residence in Villanova, PA in
1965.
Vivian was a former director of the Devon Country Fair and an active
volunteer of the Bryn Mawr Hospital thrift shop for 18 years.
She is survived by one sister, Beverly Fagan, of Madison, CT and two
brothers, Austin Volk of Englewood, NJ and Nicholas Volk of Toronto,
Ontario, Canada.
Vivian was the beloved mother of Peter Keber (Lucille) of Charlotte, NC,
Richard Keber (Jennie) of Palm Desert, CA, Carolyn Baird (Daniel) of
Neenah, WI., Eric Keber (Nancy) of Mendham, NJ., and Beverly Torsilieri (Guy)
of Whitehouse Station, NJ. She was the grandmother of seventeen and
great grandmother of six.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter and her
grandson, Eric Edwards Baird.
Vivian took great joy in life and life's beauty. Her enthusiasm for
relationships and her devotion and love for her family has been an
inspiration to all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 7 at 9:30 AM at St.
Thomas of Villanova Church (University Campus) Lancaster Ave.,
Villanova, PA. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery in Englewood,
NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday November 6 from
6:30 to 8:30 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave,
Ardmore, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
National Right to Life, 512 10th St. NW, Washington, DC 20004.
