Virginia Marie "Ginny" Moylan (nee Hippenstiel), of St. David's, PA., passed away on Sunday September 17, 2006 at her daughter's residence in Strafford, PA. She was 85.
Daughter of the late John and Julia Simon Hippenstiel, she was born in Pemberton, NJ in 1921. Ginny and her late husband David J. Moylan, Jr., owned and operated The Old Store in Wayne, PA from 1970 until they retired in 1997. The store sold unique antiques and various types of hand crafted items Ginny met David through one of his sisters, whom Ginny was friends with while in nursing school. David was serving in the military during World War II and before they had even met, Ginny had written letters to him, which was quite common at the time.
Ginny was the devoted mother of David J. Moylan, III., M.D., Virginia H. Moylan, Julia Ann Coyer and the late Michael T. Moylan. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday September 21, 10:00 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne, PA. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA.
