Obituary

Thomas "Tommy" Aquinas Hennessey, son of the late Kathleen and Thomas Hennessey, died on June 20, 2016 from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. He was 57 and a long- time resident of Inglis House where he previously volunteered. Formerly of Bala Cynwyd, he was a graduate of Saint Matthias School (1973) and Saint Joseph's Prep (1977). Tommy was an outstanding student, studied 4 languages, and attended Columbia University and Saint Joseph's University. He was also a devoted supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers.

He is preceded in death by niece Jessica Hennessey, and survived by siblings Michael (Angela), David (Annie), Marybeth Brielmaier (Bob), and Tricia, loved by nieces and nephews Gregory, Andrew, and Grace Dob, and Carley Magyar (Russell), Erin Hennessey (Paul Capella), Dave Hennessey, and Sophie. Newest family members grandniece Fiona Magyar and grandnephew Lucas Capella are grateful to have recently been in Uncle Tommy's company.

Family and friends may call on Friday morning for visitation from 9-10 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Saint Mathias Catholic Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave, Bala Cynwyd, Pa. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Tommy's memory to Inglis House, 2600 Belmont Ave, Philadelphia, Pa, 19131.
