Thomas V. Dowd, Jr. passed away August 5, 2021 at the age of 92.  He is survived by children Tom Dowd (Suzanne), Dave Dowd (Natalie), Susan Reich (Bob), Leslie Dorsch (Joe), 5 grandchildren Joseph Dorsch, Tim Dorsch, Kyle Dowd, Aaron Dowd, Rachel Dowd and 1 great grandchild Joseph Jonathan Dorsch.

He was born and raised in Fairmount, attended Saint Joseph's Preparatory High School and Drexel University.  He served in the United States Army in the Korean War.  He was a structural engineer in his own practice for over 40 years.  He was a life time oarsman and member of the Fairmount Rowing Association.  Was also a long time rowing official and rowing regatta director.

Services and interment are private due to Covid-19.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
