Susan M. Jordan Schmader of Newtown Square, PA, age 57, died on April 28, 2016 after a brave fight with ovarian cancer. The beloved wife of the late Robert E. Schmader, she is survived by her adored children Jaclyn J. Schmader (New York City) and Daniel J. Schmader (Newtown Square, PA). Susan is also survived by her: mother Iva Jordan (the late Robert); sister Patricia L. Jordan Baumgardner (Joseph); mother-in-law Rosemary T. Schmader (the late James); brother-in-law Barry Schmader (Elizabeth); sisters-in-law Laurie Van Trieste (David) and Lynn Forster (the late Don) as well as many other dear friends and relatives.

Susan was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School, Rutgers College, and Rutgers School of Law-Camden. She was particularly proud of her 30 year career with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of the Solicitor during which she rose from trial attorney to Regional Counsel and had many accomplishments regarding safety and health issues of American workers.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 3, 10:30 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
