Ruth M. Thomas' Obituary
Ruth McClory Thomas, of Hartsdale, NY, formerly of Rosemont, PA., passed away on January 31, 2009 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY. She was 85.
Daughter of the late John J. and Grace Hennessey McClory, she was born in Buffalo, NY in 1923. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy, Bronx, NY and attended Marywood College in Scranton, PA. She worked in banking for most of her life and spent over 35 years working for Pannonia Federal Credit Union in Philadelphia and later in Feasterville. She held many positions over the years, rising to Treasurer and eventually President, and remained on the board of the bank attending meetings up until this past year.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Berry who died in 1944 and the late James J. Thomas who died in 1995, devoted mother of Susan Eberhardt and the loving grandmother of Richard, Amy and Joanne Eberhardt.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday February 6, 10 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church (Univ. Campus), 800 Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9 AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
