Obituary

Rosemary Valentine Holt, of Bryn Mawr, PA., passed away on April 10, 2026 at The Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was 90.

Rosemary was born on July 7, 1935 in Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Anton Valentine and Bertha Osland Valentine. She received her BA from Edgewood College, Wisconsin, in 1965 and completed her Master's Program at Northwestern University in 1970. She loved and enjoyed teaching elementary school students throughout her career until she retired from the Radnor School District on June 30, 1997.

She was the beloved wife of the late DeWitt Holt, Jr., with whom she travelled the world and took part in many pilgrimages. She was the stepmother of Alice Louise Mantz (Jeff), Eleanor Isayeff (Senya) and DeWitt Holt, III. (Kim). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Rosemary was a devout Catholic and active prayer warrior in her prayer group. She supported many charities and volunteered extensively at the Soup Kitchen and Reading for the Blind.

Relatives and friends are invited on Thursday April 16th, Visitation from 9 to 10 AM with Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Ln., Bryn Mawr PA 19010. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Neuman Parish, 380 Highland Ln., Bryn Mawr PA 19010.
