Rita Helaine Walsh (nee Howard), passed away peacefully at her home in Wayne, PA.,  amidst her family on March 29, 2017. She was 70.

Born in Philadelphia on May 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Francis A. Howard and Helen M. McBrearty.  She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Vincent J. Walsh, Esquire, their son Brandon Walsh (Maggie) and their daughter, Lindsey Keys (Edward), and their four grandchildren: Ella Helaine and Brody Lee Keys, and Wrenley Mary-Grace and Beau Michael Walsh. She is survived also by her brother, Francis Aloysius Howard (Patty) of Pinehurst, N.C.

Helaine earned her B.A. at Ottawa University, and was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who served in the Anesthesia Departments at Lankenau Hospital for over 25 years, and at Phoenixville Hospital for over 15 years. She was an instructor in pharmacology in the Lankenau Hospital School of Anesthesia. She served as a volunteer at the Brandywine River Museum (making Christmas season "critters") and with other charities, and did pottery work and needle point.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday April, 3, 10:30 AM at St. Monica Church, 63 Main Ave., Berwyn, PA.  Relatives and friends may visit at the Church from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helaine's memory are requested for "Music at Monica's" which can be sent to St. Monica's Church,  Parish Offices, 635 First Avenue, Berwyn, PA 19312-1652.
