Rita Armenio McNally

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to George and Philomena Armenio (both deceased) on March 20, 1931. Sister to George Armenio and Betty Ann (both deceased), Mary and Bob Giuliani, (both deceased). Joanie and Bobby Conley (both deceased) and Johnny and Claire Armenio. She had 12 nieces and nephews.

Rita graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1949. During her time at Lower Marion, she won the coveted Science Cup and enjoyed playing field hockey. After high school, Rita briefly attended St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Rita soon entered the world of banking with Bryn Mawr Trust, where she made many lifelong friends.

Rita married John A. McNally (deceased) on September 13th, 1958, and they soon settled in a brand-new house in King of Prussia. After a few years, their family began to expand with the birth of their eldest, Annemarie "Annie" McNally Anthony followed by John A. McNally III (Tracy Carbo McNally), then George M. McNally (Wendy Gotwalt McNally), and finally Jeanne "Jeannie" McNally Quirk (Timothy Quirk). Rita and John were married for 43 years.

Rita was a full-time stay at home mom for many years, engaging in community activities like adding stop signs to Keebler Road, driving her children around to activities, enjoying the swim club, and vacationing in Wildwood, New Jersey. Rita also spent many years singing in the Mother of Divine Providence choir and playing violin in the Main Line Symphony Orchestra. After raising her four children, Rita re-entered the workforce as an Administrative Assistant at GE before eventually retiring from Lockheed Martin in 2000. For the past 20+ years, Rita has also enjoyed spending a lot of the year at the shore in Ocean City, New Jersey where she enjoyed bike rides, water aerobics, visits with her grandkids, and her amazing neighbors.

She eventually became a grandmother to 10 grandchildren starting in 1985: Katie Anthony Lange (Albie Lange), Jack M. McNally (Kelsey Andariese McNally), Danielle McNally Souza (Louie Souza), Greg M. Anthony, Anna E. Anthony-Russell (Mark Russell), Jessica E. McNally, Lauren M. McNally, Luke J. McNally, Tara L. McNally, and Chase M. McNally. She was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Delaney Grace McNally in 2020.

Relatives and friends are invited on Wednesday January 3rd for a viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
