RICHARD E. WHALEN, 78, DECEMBER 20, 2009- of Paoli, PA. Beloved husband of 49 years to Linda Logan Whalen. Devoted father of Kelly Kinzler (David), Terry Serman (Carl), Patty Barron (Ted) and Frank Whalen (Julie). Also survived by 14 loving grandchildren. Dick worked at Sun Oil Co. for 40 years, retiring as Director of Materials Management. He was an avid golfer at St. David's Golf Club, continuing to play one-armed golf after suffering a stroke in 1991. Funeral Mass Wednesday December 30, 11 AM at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Rd., Paoli, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Church after 10 AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness for a handicapped person.
