Raymond was the beloved husband of the late Gisela Sera Seidel and the late Mary Nordhoff Seidel.  Devoted father of Peter C., Ileana S. Stevens, Andrew J. and Gisela S. Campanelli.  Loving grandfather of Daniel, Sera, Sofia, Camille, Maria, Maxwell and Nicholas.

Raymond was born on August 20, 1920 in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Charles and Mary Corrigan Seidel. He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and Villanova College. He served in World War II in the US Navy and retired from the reserves with rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a graduate of Temple University Law School, LLB in 1949.  He was partner in the Norristown law firm of High Swartz Roberts & Seidel.  Beginning in the late 1950's he worked as solicitor for the Prothonotary to modernize court records. Raymond was one of the first in the legal profession to recognize the value of computer technology for the courts.  From 1972-83, he served as coordinator of the Montgomery County Judicial Information System, and from 1984-92 he served as Executive Director of the Montgomery County Computer Department, one of the first counties in the nation to offer court records to the public on the newly available PCs. In 1984 he was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Bar Association special achievement award for his work in developing the Montgomery County automated court system.

He enjoyed sailing and design. He continually dabbled in real estate development.
