Obituary

Quinton Giuliani of Wynnewood and Roaring Branch PA died peacefully on February 2, 2010 at the age of 88.

Predeceased by 7 years and a day by his beloved wife of 52 years, Wanda (Azerski) on February 1, 2003 and by his grand daughter, Karen Palmer on March 24, 1967. Quinton is survived by his three children Jacqueline Hickman, Judith Nistico and Anthony Giuliani, three grand children, Chuck Palmer, Jessica Schneider and Quinton Nistico, four great grand children, Chuck, Stephanie and Danielle Palmer, Ella Schneider, his brother, Richard Giuliani of Narberth and his friend, Dee Musket of San Antonio, Texas.


Quinton was born in Narberth to Luigia and Antonio Giuliani in 1922. He graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1940 and soon after enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He proudly served his country in the South Pacific during WWII in the 345th Bomb Group, the Air Apaches. At the end of the war, their most important mission was escorting the Japanese surrender planes to Ie Shima. On IeShima the Japanese delegation transferred to American planes for the final trip to Manila to surrender to General MacArthur.


Quinton's professional life was spent working with his family in their Narberth restaurant, Giuliani's Café. He retired in 1984 to spend most of his time on his farm in Tioga County. He and his wife enjoyed the beauty of the mountains of Pennsylvania especially the abundant wildlife that the farm offered. He enjoyed bird watching, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends at The Wheel Inn. He especially enjoyed the annual reunions of his WWII bomb group. His family and countless friends from Narberth, the 345th, Tioga County and San Antonio will miss him.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 9 at McConaghy Funeral home in Ardmore, internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jefferson Hospice, #400 One Radnor Corp. Ctr., 100 Matsonford Rd., Radnor, PA 19087.
