Mr. Jacobsen was the beloved husband of Sonya Jacobsen, (his college sweetheart) and devoted father of Eleanor Anne (Ellie), and Ava Rose. He was the brother of Tom (Patty & Katie), and is survived by many extended family members. Philip was predeceased by his mother, Rose Marie Jacobsen, and his father, Roy Jacobsen.

He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1988 with a degree in Finance & Accounting. Following his graduation, Phil moved to Boston to work for Coopers & Lybrand in their audit practice. He moved back to Denver following his marriage to Sonya in 1991. Phil remained at Coopers & Lybrand in Denver until 1996, at which time he began working for KPMG, LLP. He became partner in their business assurance practice in 1999. Phil was promoted to lead partner of the KPMG Business Assurance practice, mid-Atlantic region, in 2006 and moved to the Philadelphia area with his family at that time. He retired from KPMG in March 2018. Throughout his career
he had many successes and, more importantly, made many close friends. While Philip had many successes, he always remained humble and gracious and, his most cherished role was that of father to his daughters Ellie (22) and Ava (18).

He loved & supported them and taught them many things by example, such as, kindness, generosity, humbleness, determination, strength, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Phil will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
