Philip R.T. Carroll's Obituary
Philip R.T. Carroll, of Rosemont, PA and Cape May, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2016 surrounded by his wife, Marie, son, Brian and daughter, Susan Corwin (Larry). He is also survived by grandsons, Kevin and Daniel Corwin and many nieces and nephews.
Born 1925 in Ordway, CO, Philip graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He served as lieutenant in the Army Air Corps as a navigator during WW II. He was Police Administrator in the City of Philadelphia from 1968-1971 and Deputy Mayor of Philadelphia from 1972-1980. Philip also served as Director of the Hospital Authority of Philadelphia.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday March 17, at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA for a Viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mass cards would be appreciated.
