Patricia A nne Murray (nee Quinlan), 77, of Berwyn, Pa., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 17, 2020, after a long illness. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, Francis W. Murray; her son Francis X. and his wife Rachael ; her son T. Patrick; her granddaughter Grace; her grandchildren Asha and Jake and their mother Tanuja; her brother Martin (Diann) Quinlan; her brothers-in-law James (Dianne) Murray and Robert DeLuca; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predecea sed by her sisters-in-law Jane DeLuca and Kay Savage, as well as her brother-in-law Dennis Savage.
The daughter of the late Martin and Madeleine Quinlan, Pat was born in West Philadelphia and was raised in Clifton Heights and Broomall, Pa. She was a gradu ate of the former Archbishop Prendergast High School for Girls.
Before her marriage in 1965, she was an employee of Beneficial Savings Bank and Bell Telephone. She then dedicated herself to her family, providing a strong and loving foundation for her chi ldren's endeavors at St. Aloysius Academy and The Episcopal Academy and her husband's career in hospitality, sports, and gaming, which took him all over the world. She later took great pleasure and pride in the accomplishments of her beloved grandchildren.
Over the years, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her homes in Avalon, N.J., and West Palm Beach, Fla., and had a passion for home and interior design and landscape architecture. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family an d friends, her Irish wit, her superb hospitality, her elegant style, her disciplined, meticulous nature, and her fierce determination when presented with any challenge.
Her funeral services are private. A memorial service for family and friends will be he ld at a later date.
