Patricia A. Loftus, age 95, of Narberth, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born on June 10, 1929, in Cleveland, OH, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Frances Jr. and Frances Marie (nee Forrest) Shannon. Raised in Ardmore, she graduated from Lower Merion Senior High School in 1947.

Patricia was an avid bowler, enjoying time with friends in recreational leagues when she worked for First Pennsylvania Banking and Trust Company. She later worked at Strawbridge & Clothier in Ardmore for over 35 years and relished helping her customers.  She loved her S&C days, and the work family she built there.  A devoted animal lover, she shared her life with many cherished cats over the years. In 1958, Patricia married her late husband, James Joseph Loftus, and together they raised their son, Michael Patrick, in Narberth, where they were proud members of St. Margaret's Parish.

Patricia spent most of her life in Narberth, building lasting connections within her community. She could often be found grocery shopping at American Family Market, enjoying a burger at the Great American Pub, or taking walks with her cats. She loved spending time with her family, especially her numerous nieces and nephews, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, doing daily crossword puzzles, and delighting in the simple joys of life. Patricia cherished the bond with her two grandchildren. Her granddaughter Elizabeth attended nearby Merion Mercy Academy, where Patricia enjoyed the school's events like Carol Night and Graduation. She was diehard "4 for 4" Philadelphia sports fan, watching games and rooting on her teams.  And, of course, vacationing at the Sun Aqua motel on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ one week each summer.

Patricia is survived by her son, Michael Patrick Loftus (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Tehan Loftus and James Patrick Loftus (Abby); and her beloved nieces and nephews, Richard (Cindy), Charles (Ann), Thomas M. (Cathy), Patricia, Mary, Peggy, Michele (Francis), Thomas S. IV, Mark (Sue) and Kathy, along with their many children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Loftus; her sister, Marie Eileen (nee Shannon) Medlock; her brother, Thomas F. Shannon III; and her niece, Jane Shannon.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, November 26th from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM followed immediately by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Margaret Church, 208 N. Narberth Ave., Narberth PA 19072.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 199 Matsonford Rd., West Conshohocken, PA.

Patricia will be remembered for her kind heart, witty sense of humor, love for her family, and the community she built in the town she called home.
