Nicholas D. Lyons, of Bryn Mawr, PA, passed away on February 13, 2020.  He was 72.

Son of the late Nicholas J. Lyons, Jr. and Regina McLaughlin Lyons, Nick was born in Bryn Mawr Hospital on May 14, 1947.  He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1965.

Nick was an Organist, and began his musical career as the Parish Organist at Our Lady of Lourdes, in Overbrook, PA in the late 1960's.  He later served for many years as the Parish Organist at Our Mother of Good Counsel, in Bryn Mawr, PA.  Most recently he was serving as the Parish Organist at St. Francis Xavier - The Oratory, in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.  Nick was very well known throughout the many Parishes in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for his work in countless wedding and funeral services.  His life was his music, his faith,  and his musicianship.

He is survived by a brother, Stephen Lyons (Clare Hemphill) of Dover, DE.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation at 10 AM with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 AM on Friday February 21st at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA.  Interment is private.
