Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Miriam "Mimi" Brown, a beloved friend, cherished family member, and vibrant soul, who left us peacefully at the age of 80. Sadly, her passing came just over 6 months since the passing of her longtime partner, Ron Goodnough. Mimi's warmth, laughter, and kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had an extraordinary gift for making friends wherever she went and was a source of light and joy in every room.

Mimi was a talented actor and had a deep love for music. Singing was a passion that brought her endless joy. Whether she was harmonizing with friends, serenading her family, or singing with her chorus group "Sweet Adelines", her voice reflected the joy she found in life. Traveling was another of Mimi's great loves; she had an adventurous spirit and always sought to explore new places, creating memories and friendships along the way.

Mimi had a particular fondness for cross-stitch embroidery, a hobby that allowed her to create beautiful, intricate works of art with her hands. She took great pride in the pieces she made, often gifting them to loved ones as tokens of her affection and creativity.

Above all, Mimi had a deep devotion to her friends and family. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, always putting others' needs before her own. Her compassion, loyalty, and warmth formed the foundation of countless relationships, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mimi's memory will live on through the many friendships she built, the songs she sang, the travels she took, and the beautiful works of art she crafted. We take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, laughter, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Mimi is survived by her brother Bill Platco and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She joins her father Peter, and mother Olga, in heaven.
