Obituary

Michael J. Perrot of Haverford, PA passed away on Monday March 3, 2025 at 88 years old.

Son of the late Emile G. Perrot, Jr. and Kathryn Lenihan Perrot, Michael was born on May 3, 1936.

Michael was the beloved husband of Regina Perrot (nee Marta), devoted father of Michael A. (Linda), Stephen, and Melissa (John), and devoted grandfather to Michael R. (Lauren), Andrew (Nganh), David, Mercedes, and Nicolas. He is also survived by his brother Kevin Perrot (Alexandra).

Michael grew up in Bryn Mawr and attended Waldron Mercy Academy as a boy.  He had a career in finance at the Bank of New Jersey and Horizon Bank in Pittsburgh. He credited his Jesuit education at St. Joseph's Prep and St. Joseph's College (now University) in Philadelphia with his career success.  He believed strongly in the Jesuit traditions, especially their approach to education and held their motto AMDG in high esteem. He met his wife of 61 years, Regina, while working at Wanamaker's in Philadelphia in the early 60's. Michael actively courted Regina and would frequently arrive near mealtime at Regina's home in Havertown where traditional Italian meals were on the menu.  They married in 1963 and settled in their Montgomery Ave. home several years later. While Michael enjoyed his career in finance his true passion was automobiles and other things mechanical. He started working on lawn mower engines and go karts as a youth. After obtaining his driver's license, Michael owned countless sports cars during his life which he repaired and maintained mostly himself. He was happy to talk about automobiles with anyone who cared to listen. He was a member of the Ferrari Club of North America and loved driving his Ferrari at track events. In later years, his passion shifted to antique model trains, which he also restored and he was often found at model train shows.  He was a devoted member of Our Mother of Good Counsel Church and was a mainstay lectern at early Sunday mass for countless years.

Relatives and friends are invited on Tuesday March 11th to the Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am to be followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr, PA. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.
