Michael Brennan, aged 72, died on March 3, 2023, at his Ardmore home.

Michael was born in Bryn Mawr to Edson and Ann 'Nancy' Routch (Brennan).  As a young man, Michael had a passion for fast cars and music, becoming an accomplished drummer.  Realizing he needed to support his growing family, Michael attended Villanova University and Penn State.  He earned his Master's degree in clinical psychology from West Chester University, obtained his Master's Plus in education from the University of Pennsylvania, and spent 30 years with the Philadelphia School District as a teacher, school psychologist, and administrator.  He was loved and respected by many as he had an amazing ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.  He was a visionary who believed in his students and worked tirelessly to ensure their success.  In retirement, Michael enjoyed traveling the countryside in his beloved jeep, playing his drums, listening to music, photography, and spending time with his wife, Monique.

Michael is survived by his wife Monique of 37 years, his daughters Emily and Rebecca, brothers Ed and John, 3 grandchildren: Jake, Shane, and Spencer, and many nieces and nephews.

Please join us at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore PA on Thursday March 30th for a Visitation from 10 to 11 AM and a Funeral Service at 11 AM where we plan to share memories of Michael.  A luncheon reception will follow.
