Matthew G. Mccabe's Obituary
Matthew G. McCabe, of Haverford, PA, passed away on Saturday April 17, 2010 at the Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was 78.
Son of the late James and Cecelia McGinty McCabe, he was born in Philadelphia in 1932. He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School. Afterwards, he worked at Rockhill Supply-McCabe Brothers Co. a family quarry business in Penn Valley, PA. Later on he worked as a Supervisor for Delaware County for many years.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara Nelson McCabe. Devoted father of Lauretta "Laurie" N. McCabe and the late Brian N. McCabe. Dear brother of James, Mary Ann Quinn, Peter, Bernard and the late Thomas McCabe.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday April 20, 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Ln., in Bryn Mawr, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9:30 AM. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Reed St., Suite 200, Phila. PA 19147 or to Bryn Mawr Hospital, 130 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
