Mary Frances Wendling (nee Lynch), formerly of Wynnewood, PA died peacefully in her unit at Riddle Village Retirement Community (Media, PA) on June 12, 2023.

She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Ronald C. Wendling, who was the love of her life. Mary grew up in Drexel Hill, attended St. Charles Borromeo for grade school and then Notre Dame High School (Moylan, PA). She earned her RN diploma at Fitzgerald Mercy and earned her BSN at Villanova University. After a career in nursing, she transitioned to the teaching profession and was a reading specialist and English as a Second Language instructor. In preparation for her teaching career, she obtained graduate education certificates in Secondary Education, Reading Specialist, and English at Saint Joseph's University. She loved teaching international students from all over the world at the English Language Center at Saint Joseph's University. For over twenty-two summers, she and her husband spent time at Page Lake in Susquehanna County, PA, enjoying the peace and serenity of lake life. The couple also traveled extensively upon retirement. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Wendling and Margaret Wendling Bacheler.

Relatives and friends are invited on Monday June 19th, Viewing from 9 to 10 AM with Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Colman Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore PA.  Interment St. Charles Borromeo Church Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
