Mary S. Leahy (nee Sheehan), of Bryn Mawr, PA., passed away on December 31, 2024 at Waverly Heights in Gladwyne, PA.  She was 91.

Daughter of the late John J. & Mae Adams Sheehan, Mary was born on January 23, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA.  Mary attended Holy Child Academy High School.  She was a graduate of Immaculata College with a B.A. in Economics.  She was voted President of Student Council and elected to Delta Epsilon Sigma- a scholarship and leadership fraternity.  She was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College receiving Masters Degrees in Economic Theory and Art History.  Mary went on to work as a Rare Book Librarian at Bryn Mawr College for 32 years.  She then moved to Rosemont College where she worked as a special assistant to the President for 15 years. Mary was given the Kistler Award in 2012 for outstanding service to the Library and College.  She collected rare books and friends wherever she worked.  She loved to travel and to do Cryptograms.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Leahy.  She is survived by her son John "Mark" Leahy.

Relatives and friends are invited on Thursday January 9th, Visitation from 9:30 to 10:15 AM with Funeral Mass at 10:30 at St. John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd., Gladwyne PA 19035.  Interment is private.
