Mary Patricia
Daly
January 30, 1934 – November 5, 2025
Mary Particia (Pat) Daly, "Gigi", to everyone who knew her, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, at age 91, on November 5, 2025. She was born in Buffalo, New York on January 30, 1934, to William Charles and Loretta Dolores Myers. Her family moved to Upper Darby, Pennsylvania when she was a young girl. Gigi graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1953. She was a member of the art, knitting and homemaking clubs, all skills that became lifelong passions. Gigi was working at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and one day a handsome young man from IBM strolled through the office and caught her eye. Soon thereafter they were wed and began an amazing life journey together that would grow tenfold and begin a legacy. Most of those years were spent in a three-story stone house on Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd that had a wrap-around front porch and doors that were always open.
Pat stayed active her entire life with her dear friends, her artwork, jewelry making, Pilates, Book Club, Bible Study, and the Catholic Church. She was strong in her convictions while having the softest, most accepting heart. She was inquisitive and quick to share her learnings that often started with the phrase; "the interesting things is…." For all the busyness that a life in a big family can bring, she was the most intentional person her family has ever known. She was always there with a card or a call on every occasion.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband Philip J Daly, son Walter J. Daly, and daughter Loretta Ann Daly. She is survived by her children, Philip, Paul, Larry, Christine, Margaret, Patrick, Colleen, and Mark, along with 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
