MARTHA G. MARMER (NEE HUGHES), of Rosemont, PA., passed away on February 29, 2016 at Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was 90.
Daughter of the late James and Laura Gilbert Hughes, she was born in Phoenixville, PA on February 23, 1926.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence E. Marmer, Sr. Devoted mother of Martha Anne McIlvaine (Joseph), Lawrence E. Marmer, Jr. (Loretta) and the late Kathleen T. Bacon (William). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and her brother John D. Hughes. She was predeceased by 6 other siblings.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday March 3, 10 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church (Univ. Campus), Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA. Interment will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday March 2nd from 6 to 8 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA 19003.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Ave., Philadelphia PA 19143 or to St. Ignatius Nursing Home, 4401 Haverford Ave., Philadelphia PA 19104.
