Marguerite M.
Flynn
July 22, 1947 – April 28, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound hope in the risen Christ, the family of Marguerite M. "Peg" Flynn announce her passing on April 28, 2026. Born in Norwood, Pennsylvania, Peg lived a vibrant and loving life marked by servitude, compassion, strength, and deep devotion to her faith, family, friends and Waldron Mercy Academy, her extended family.
Peg was an absolute integral part of the Flynn family and was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Vera Flynn, brothers, Charles (Thelma) Flynn and Joseph (Beth) Flynn and sisters, Jean Flynn and Joan Black. She is survived by sisters, Vera (Joe) Dolan, Marie (Clem) Calabrese, Helene McGinnis, Betty Kral and Clare Palazzo; brothers, Jim (Jeannie) Flynn and Patrick (Theresa) Flynn, numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Peg had deeply loving relationships with her family, most notably a very special devoted relationship with her nephew, Ian Kral, who's love for her was reciprocal. "She was a very special one" is how her nieces and nephews felt about her. She truly cared about each and every one of them; they knew it, felt it and absorbed it. She made significant investments of her time, talents and humor to organize family events like tea parties, showers, picnics, family gatherings, plays, and the like. She loved watching British mysteries in later years and you always wanted her on your team for a game of Trivial Pursuit or where facts mattered, because Peg knew them!
Peg's infectious energy was unmatched. She was known to roller skate in the middle of the night, in a dress, no less, she loved to dance especially to "We Are Family" at weddings and other family events. She was absolutely passionate about her devotion to Waldron Mercy Academy and left an indelible mark on the institution as a teacher, nutrition expert and alumni liaison.
Peg touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. She exuded selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit that will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
