Margaret Mary Keating Sherry, 100, of Gladwyne, PA died peacefully on December 27, 2020 surrounded by family and supported for many years by the Waverly Heights Community.
Margaret Mary was the beloved wife of the late Vincent B. Sherry, Sr.; devoted mother of Vincent B., Jr. and his daughter Sophia; Daniel J. (Judith) and their children Daniel (Rita), Parker, Flora, Keating (Yiran) and Arthur; Madeline (Francis P. Devine) and their children Patrick (Suzie) and Michael; Francis J. (Suzanne) and their children Clare, Kevin, Katie and Bridget; and Margaret "Mimi" (Douglas) Lurio and their children Madeline (Tyler McIntyre), Benjamin (Kara) and Marian; and the late Mary Ann (Sebastian) Campanella and her children Meg (David) Taft, Richard Gleeson and Ann Gleeson. She is also survived by treasured 13 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved parents Daniel J. and Madeline (nee O'Donnell) Keating, and cherished brother Daniel J. Keating, Jr.
Born on June 4, 1920, and raised in Overbrook, she previously lived in Wynnewood and Bryn Mawr and spent many summers in Longport, NJ. Margaret Mary was inspired by her Catholic faith and inspired others with her unconditional kindness. She was a former Trustee and current Honorary Trustee of her alma mater, Rosemont College, and she was honored for her years of volunteer service to many organizations, including St. Francis Country House. She excelled academically and maintained her keen intellect until her death. Margaret Mary continued to treasure her family and friends and lived a full life through her 100th year.
The Funeral Mass and interment are private for the family. For those who would like to participate remotely, the Mass will be livestreamed on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10 AM at www.sjvgladwyne.com .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Society of the Holy Child Jesus , 1341 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, Pa. 19010, or to Rosemont College , 1400 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, Pa 19010.
