Obituary

Margaret M. Schneider (nee Sweeney), 97, of Rosemont, PA, on December 20, 2022.  Beloved wife of the late John B. Schneider, adored mother of three daughters Diane (the late Ron Magolda; Art Pardi), Bonnie (Richard Rossello), Maryclaire (Lloyd Goodman); cherished grandmother of Nina Rossello (Nick Tyner), Chris Rossello (Holiday Campanella), Olivia Goodman, Alex Goodman; fun-loving great-grandmother of Jack and Jamie Tyner; and devoted aunt and cousin.  She was also treasured and admired by generations of friends and work colleagues.

Margaret began her career in publishing at WB Saunders and went on to a nearly 50-year career at the Villanova University Alumni Office. During her long tenure at Villanova, she maintained a deep affection for the university, and was recognized multiple times for her contributions to the Alumni Organization.

Margaret had a powerful and enduring faith that sustained her throughout her long life. She maintained a consistently cheerful and optimistic spirit and her unfailing warmth, kindness, and humor remained with her to the end. She was a loving supporter of her family, an enthusiastic advocate for those in need, and a source of unending joy and laughter.  A life-long lover of all sports, she rarely missed a Villanova University basketball game and held season tickets for more than 40 years.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Monday, January 9 th at 10:30 am at St. Thomas of Villanova Church (University Campus), 800 E. Lancaster Avenue in Villanova. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
