Lillian Lucy (Milione) Powers

December 13, 1932 – October 16, 2025

Lillian was born in Penfield, PA to Louis and Mary Milione. She attended the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur high school in Villanova, then graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC.  She was a teacher in kindergarten and Montessori for almost 60 years at Sacred Heart Academy in Overbrook, Merion Mercy Academy in Merion, Holy Child Academy in Drexel Hill, and most recently at St Aloysius Academy in Bryn Mawr until her retirement. She and her husband John were long-time residents of the Tedwyn in Bryn Mawr.

She was the last of her generation and was predeceased by her husband John H. Powers Jr, her parents, her brothers Louis (Theresa), Cornelius (Irene), Viviano (Jean) and E Victor (Amalia) Milione, her sisters Kathleen (Carmen) Ferraioli and Florence (Felix) Rubino as well as her son Louis M Powers.

She is survived by her three children: John H., III. (Rosemary), Kathleen (Robert) Pacifici, and Joseph A. (Maureen); her seven grandchildren: Tanya and Shane Gannon, Lydia (Caleb) Bernhardt, Samuel and Rebecca Jena Liang, and Louis and Natalie Powers; and her six great grandchildren: Marah, Talitha and Yael Bernhardt and Ashton, Lincoln and Preston Barr as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children whom she adored.

The primary love of her life was her family. For decades she hosted a Christmas party attended by family members far and wide, that is fondly remembered by all. She was also a lover of children and took pride in educating them in learning, faith and grace.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd  at 10:00 AM with a Viewing at 9:00 AM at St. Colman Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore, PA. 19003.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery ,626 Baily Rd., Yeadon, PA , 19050 where she will be laid to rest with her family.
