L. Ralph Powers passed away on October 19, 2009 at his residence in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 80.

Son of the late L. Ralph & Anna McCarthy Powers, he was born in Bryn Mawr in 1929. He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ralph worked as an electrician at Bryn Mawr College for 46 years before retiring in 1992.

He was the beloved husband of the late Laura Malizia Powers. Devoted father of L. Ralph, Jr., Jean Oraschewsky (Peter), Nancy Rafaelle (Vince), Thomas (Wendi), Timothy (Sharon) and Matthew (Michelle). Loving grandfather of Alex, James and Michael Oraschewsky, Laura and Vincent Raffaele, and Carley, Tommy, Nicholas, Samantha, Erica and Michael Powers. He is also survived by his sisters Ruth Lampe and Gladys Burke and his brother Ed Powers.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 23, 10 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday from 6:30 to 9 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA.
