Kirsten Frances McElwaine died peacefully of early onset Alzheimer's at home in Ardmore, PA on March 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Kirsten is survived by her 16 year old daughter Sara Kathryn Min (Blue Bell, PA) and her six siblings Patrice Namiotka (CMCH, NJ), Victoria McElwaine (Kennett Square, PA), Dannielle Doran (Ardmore, PA), Thuy Donnelly (Springfield, PA), John McElwaine (Washington DC), and Jessica Theiss (Exton, PA). She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.  Kirsten was preceded in death by her beloved parents Felice and Frank McElwaine who have already met her with open arms in heaven alongside her favorite bulldogs Hershey and Hannah.

Kirsten was born on February 6, 1969 at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood. She enjoyed growing up in a big loving family in Overbrook and eventually graduated from the University of MD with a degree in interior design. She went on to build her own kitchen design firm called Kirsten's Kitchens and won awards for her contributions to the field of design. Kir was a fun-loving friend to many to whom she gave her heart fully and affectionately. Above all else, Kirsten was an amazing mom to her only daughter and her proud legacy, Sara Kathryn. Kirsten is gone too soon but our whole-hearted love of her will never leave.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday May 12, 11:00 AM at St. Denis Church, Eagle Rd. & St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA.  Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Alzheimers Association.
