Kathleen Gallagher (nee McClafferty), aged 81, passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen was born February 21st, 1942 in Carrownamaddy, Creeslough, Co. Donegal, Ireland. One of eight children, she was preceded in death by her mom Bridget (nee Brogan), her father Patrick and siblings Paddy, Denis, Bill and Rose. She is survived by her husband Willie, sons John and Patrick, grandchildren Cole, Liam, Sean and Maura, her sisters Maureen and Ann and her brother John.

Kathleen emigrated to the US in 1963 in search of a better life. She soon met her husband Willie, married in 1967  and settled in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was deeply devoted to her faith and was a lifelong member of Our Mother of Good Counsel Church in Bryn Mawr, PA. Along with that faith, she had a fighting spirit and unwavering work ethic that was instilled in her two sons. Kathleen had a beautiful voice and would happily sing Irish ballads or country songs throughout the day. She treasured her many trips back home to Donegal over the years where she would visit family. With her generous spirit, she was a friend to so many and had a kind word for everyone.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Kathleen's life on Thursday October 26th with a visitation from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Interment will be private at a later date.   For those unable to attend the service, the Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on the parish website at www.omgcparish.org
