Obituary

Kathleen P. Field, of Villanova, PA., passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 71.

Whether as a fashion model in the 60's, an interior designer as president of Stoke Poges Interiors and Antiques, and later as an accomplished artist Kathleen always expressed herself with great flair. Her pastels and oil paintings including vibrant, exquisite landscapes, still life, and botanicals won her wide acclaim and several prestigious awards. She was a featured artist in "New Art International" compiled by Jeremy Sedley published in 2002 and in "Artists Speak: The Revelations of Contemporary Artists" published by Friends Of Artists Equity in 2004. She won awards from many juried shows including the Philadelphia Tri-State Artists Equity, American College of Art in Bryn Mawr, and the Midwest Pastel Society in Chicago in 1997 as well as having an art show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 1996. Her work has been on exhibit at Maryland Pastel Society, Ariel Galleries in New York and Wayne Art Center and is displayed among many private and corporate collections in the tri-state area, nationally and internationally.

Kathleen served on the Women's Board of Jefferson Hospital and was known in Main Line Society as an extraordinary entertainer. Her home in Villanova, a work of art itself of her design, where she and her husband Martin hosted many a gala event stands as a testament to her good taste and flawless style.

She was the beloved wife of Martin W. Field. Devoted mother of Alexander Ryan Field. Step-mother of Laurel Field Marcus and Stephen P. Field. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and her sister Barbara Polityka.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday November 9, 11 AM at St. John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd., Gladwyne, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Church from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
