Judith Ann Hudson Huffaker

It is with great sadness that the family of Judith "Judy" Hudson Huffaker announces that she has passed away. Judy died peacefully on January 28, 2021 at the age of 83.  Judy was born in Bryn Mawr, PA and was the daughter of Robert and Jeannette(Crevey) Hudson.  She grew up in Ardmore, PA with her younger sibling Jeannette and Bob.  She graduated from Mater Misericordiae Academy in 1955 and continued to earn a dental hygienist degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Judy enjoyed summers on Long Beach Island since she was very young.  She was very active with the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club in Beach Haven, NJ, where she was an avid tennis player and involved with a number of club committees.  Judy was very involved with a other organizations like Junior League, Garden Workers, Garden Club of America, and Merion Cricket Club.  She was passionate about floral arranging, judging and gardening.   She became a judge for the Garden Club of America and supported many Philadelphia Garden Shows over the years and other local events.  She had many lifelong friendships through these organizations that were so important to her.

We will always remember her generosity, love and support of her family and friends.  Judy is survived by her husband John Huffaker, sister Jeannette J. Hudson, brother Robert M. Hudson, her daughter Laura Webster Thomas and son Spencer Webster, son-in-law Brinton Thomas, daughter-in-law Denise Ingwersen Webster and her grandchildren James, Brinton and Mia. She is also survived by her step daughters Meg Huffaker and Christiana Logansmith, son-in-law Steve Logansmith and grandson Jack.

The family will hold a private service to celebrate her life.
