JOSEPH P. TACCONELLI, "Mr. Tac", of Jeffersonville, PA., formerly of the Main Line, passed away on Friday February 10, 2006 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 94.

Son of the late Carmine and Louise Cocco Tacconelli, he was born in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1911. He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and attended night classes at the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Tac worked for the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., owning a dealership and also serving on the company's national board. He was also a former board member of the Bryn Mawr Trust Co., past part owner of the Westover Golf Club in Jeffersonville, PA. Other clubs or organizations he was affiliated with or was a member of included: Overbrook Golf Club, the Commercial Club in Jeffersonville, Main Line Lions Club, Men of Malvern, Merion Fire Company, Bachelors Barge Club and past member of Bala Golf Club. His main hobbies included golf and travel.

He was the beloved husband of the late Miriam Greenawalt Tacconelli. Devoted father of Patricia Tacconelli Hess of Newtown Square, PA. Loving grandfather of Kelly Lewis of Horsham, PA. Brother of Helen Cimino and Parina Moore both of Florida and the late Nicholas and Dominic Tacconelli. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Grace Tacconelli of Newtown Square and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday February 17, 10:30 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA. Interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday from 7 to 9 PM or Friday from 9 to 10 AM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA.
