Obituary

Joseph D. Kelly passed away on June 12, 2017 at his residence in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 79.

Son of the late James J., Sr. and Margaret Ann Mahan Kelly, he was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on January 10, 1938. He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School were he was a member of the football team from 1953-1955 in which time they lost only 1 game. He served in the US Army. He was a longtime active member of the Bryn Mawr Fire Company where he was at onetime the Deputy Chief. In 2016 he was inducted into the Lower Merion High School Football Hall of Fame.

He was the beloved husband of Geraldine "Gerry" Kelly (nee Gruhler). Dear brother of James J. Kelly, Jr. (Nell), Lawrence M. Kelly (Susan) and the late John F. Kelly, Sr. (Late Constance). He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Joyce Kelly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews and his faithful companion "Lola".

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 17, 10 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 8:30 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Main Line Health HomeCare & Hospice, 240 N. Radnor Chester Rd., Suite 100, Radnor PA 19087.
