Izzo, Jr.
January 11, 1944 – February 3, 2024
Joseph A. Izzo, Jr, from West Grove, PA, passed away on February 3, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 80 years old.
Son of the late Joseph A. Izzo, Sr. and Doris Mae Anderson, he was born on January 11, 1944, in Chester, PA.
Following graduation from Chichester High School, Joe enlisted in the Marine Corps (1963-1967) and proudly served his Country in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a helicopter mechanic. Joe always wore a baseball cap, identifying himself as a veteran.
When he returned from the war, Joseph worked for the Scott Paper Company in Chester for over forty years. He was a Master Electrician. Joe enjoyed traveling in his motor home, making stained glass art, and taking care of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Charlotte, his son Reverend Brian Izzo, Valerie (Jay) Danna, and Angela (Chris) Cavuto. Grandfather to Marisa McKenna, Joseph Danna, Brandon Cavuto, Stephanie Cavuto, and Vincent Cavuto; and great-grandfather to his cherished Elena, Simon, and Henry.
Relatives and friends are invited on Friday, February 9, to his Viewing beginning at 9:30am, and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022. Interment to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Concordville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Rose of Lima Parish , 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022.
