JOSEPH A. "ZEKE" DeBARBERIE, formerly of Ardmore, PA., passed away on Tuesday February 17, 2015 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. He was 88.
Son of the late Anthony and Catharine Weber DeBarberie, he was born on December 26, 1926 in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Southeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia and a 1955 graduate of LaSalle College. Zeke served in the U.S. Army 26th Infantry Regiment during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret DeBarberie (nee Parkinson). Devoted father of Joseph A. (Patricia), John W. (Patricia), Walter J. (Dianna), Michael J. (Ann Marie) and Anthony J. (Michelle). Dear grandfather to 18 grandchildren. Brother of the late Anthony (late Margie) and Louis DeBarberie.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 21, 10 AM at St. Colman Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore, PA. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday from 7 to 9 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave. Ardmore or on Saturday from 9 to 10 AM at the Church.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Colman Parish, 11 Simpson Rd., Ardmore, PA 19003.
