John "Jack" Michael Waters, age 73, passed away at his home in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, on October 7th, 2015, surrounded by his family.
He was born at Bryn Mawr Hospital to Joseph and Margaret (McCullough) Waters on June 15, 1942. Jack attended St. Katharine's of Siena School and later attended Radnor High School. Upon graduation, he served his country in the United States Army. While serving, Jack was a proud member of The Big Red One 1st Infantry Division, also known as the "The Fighting First". Jack was an optician of 31 years in addition to becoming a self-made real estate entrepreneur. He first married Margaret Jane Vollrath (Soisson) at Saint Katharine's of Siena in 1972. Jack and Jane welcomed Sean Michael Waters (35) currently of Wayne, PA and Ryan Lisa Roth (Waters, 31). Later, in 1994, Jack married June Ann Scott with her two daughters Kimberly Ann Rudolph (Roux, 35) and Michelle June Golden (Roux, 33). Throughout his life, he continued to develop his interest in history, antique clocks, and American muscle cars. He was most happy spending quality time with his family, including his 5 grandchildren, at home or in Cape May, New Jersey. Jack can be remembered by his family and friends for his physical strength, honesty, and integrity. He lived by the motto, "Success is easier than failure".
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday October 17, 10:30 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
