John T. "Jack" Schmader, 78, died March 17, 2014 at his home in Bryn Mawr, PA surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine (née Nick), devoted father of John S. (Sarah), Joanne (Michael Casassa), Nancy Braccili (Christopher), and Jerome "Jay". He was a caring grandfather to Matthew, Timothy, and Mark Casassa, Jessica and Nicole Braccili, and Bill and Molly Schmader.

Jack was born in Bryn Mawr, to the late Cosmos and Catherine Schmader on April 1, 1935. He attended West Catholic High School and co-owned with his brother Jim, Schmader's Garage, founded by his father. After closing the Garage, he was a well known appraiser and antique collector. A longtime parishioner of Our Mother of Good Counsel, he belonged to the Main Line Coin Club, American Philatelic Society, Antler Club of Lucinda, the Knights of Columbus, Jim Thorpe Sportsman's Club, Delaware Valley Decoy Carvers and Collectors Club, and Buck Ridge Ski Club. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed skiing, biking, and travel.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday March 29, 1 PM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, P.A. 19010. Interment is private.
