Obituary

John Francis Mita, of Devon, PA., passed away in Bryn Mawr, PA on January 16, 2014 at the age of 83. Jack is survived by his loving wife Anne Kelly Mita and his brother Paul and wife, Lil. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank P. Mita and Marie Margaret (nee Murphy).

"Big Jack" is lovingly remembered by his children, Jacqui DiBianca (Jim) Frank Mita (Amy, nee Lemieux) Eustace Mita (Susanne, nee Devine) Maripeg Bruder (Jim) and Mary Q. Dwyer (Rogan) Michael Mita (Christine) John Mita. His beautiful grandchildren: Courtney DiBianca, James Mita, Daniel Mita, Victoria Mita, Eustace Mita, Jr. (Julie), Michael Mita (Lee), Melissa Mita Wesner (F.J.), Julia Mita Hartman (Joe), Molly Mita, Brittany Bruder, Patricia Bruder, Ashley Bruder, Alexandra Dwyer, Patrick Dwyer, Mikey Mita, Anna Mita, Emma Mita and his great-grandchildren Eustace Mita III, Jack Mita, Matthew Mita, Michael Mita, Jr., Mary Mita, Helen Mita, Eloise Hartman, Lucy Hartman and Francis J. Wesner IV brought him enormous joy every day of his life.

Jack graduated from Malvern Prep and The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. Jack proudly served in the US Air Force. After a successful career in business as a top salesman, Jack dedicated his life to the addicted and the afflicted as a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC). Jack's life passion became his 41 years as a member of the fellowship of that great organization Alcoholics Anonymous. In addition, Jack was Chairman of "Jacks Jungle" at Main Line Health and Fitness in Bryn Mawr. For nearly two decades his presence inspired others to master the art of fitness and fun.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, January 21, 11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church,380 Highland Ln., Bryn Mawr. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday evening, January 20th from 6 to 9 PM at the McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, PA. In addition, friends may call Tuesday morning, January 21st from 9 to 10:45 AM at the Church.
