JOHN V. McGROREY, 94, FEBRUARY 20, 2012- of Wayne, formerly of Villanova, PA. Beloved husband of the late Ann Trimper McGrorey. Devoted father of Ann M. Rossi (Jack), Jeanne M. Baxter (Harry), Mary Ellen Astheimer (Wes), John T. (Alice), Kathleen W. McGrorey and the late Claire M. McGrorey. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and his sister Rita O'Sullivan of Atlanta, GA. John was a graduate of Xavier High School in New York City, Class of '36. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Army in the Phillipines during World War II. He was also a member of the 7th Regiment Division of New York. He was a man of principle, old world values and was a gentle man with a kind heart. Funeral Mass Friday February 24, 10 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church (Univ. Campus), Lancaster Ave., Villanova. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Claire M.
