John Patrick Mccarey's Obituary
John Patrick McCarey passed away on December 13, 2016 at his home in Devon, PA. He was 57.
Son of Thomas A. McCarey and the late Anna Mae Rita Gallanagh McCarey, he was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 23, 1959. He grew up in the Parkwood section of Northeast Philadelphia and attended Archbishop Ryan High School. John was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed summers down at the Jersey shore with his family and friends and his annual trips to Turks & Caicos Island with family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of Kathryn L. McCarey (nee Walsh). Devoted father of Sean Michael McCarey. Dear brother of Thomas McCarey, Patricia Berdini, Anne McCarey and Michael McCarey. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Interment is private. A Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
