Obituary

John Clark Kenealy, 86, passed away on May 11, 2026, in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. Born on March 8, 1940, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, John lived a life dedicated to service and community.

From the age of 16, John devoted himself to firefighting as a volunteer and became a lifetime member of the Gladwyne Volunteer Fire Company. His commitment extended to the Narberth Volunteer Fire Company, where he remained an active member. After retiring from work in the computer field, John's second career was as a houseman at the Narberth Fire House for 17 years.

In addition to his work as a firefighter, John had a special interest in technology and used his expertise with computers to assist others. He enjoyed refurbishing computers to give away to those in need and shared his skills by serving on the IT Committee at Waverly Heights, where he had resided since 2017. He was handy around the house and his family and neighbors could always count on him to help.

John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Kenealy (neé Rice) and children Laura Kenealy (Christopher Swanson), Diana Boorn (Jason) and Timothy Kenealy (Emma Greene). He is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Steelman, and six grandchildren: Nate, Sam, Katie, Violet, Annie and Janie.
