JOHN M. DOLAN, age 76, lifelong resident of Rosemont, PA, died of complications from lung cancer on June 6, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday June 13, 10 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church (Univ. Campus), Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9 AM. John graduated from West Catholic High School where, as an outstanding athlete on the cross country track team, he set state records. Upon graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Korean conflict. With his love and knowledge of golf, he became a professional caddy. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Dolan and his brother James Dolan, III. He is survived by his brother Frank Dolan and sister-in-law Jean Dolan of Paoli, PA., his sisters Mary Frontczak of Estes Park, CO., and Margaret Dolan of Annapolis, MD; and by many nephews and one niece. The family would like to express their gratitude for the special devotion and care provided by nephews James and Brian Dolan. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in John Dolan's memory with checks made payable to the Coatesville VA Hospice Unit and mailed to Voluntary Services Dept., Coatesville, VA, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320.
