John Peter Canazzi, of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the age of 76. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, John leaves behind a legacy of cheerful service, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born on August 9, 1948, John served proudly in the United States Army for six years, exemplifying commitment and patriotism throughout his military service. Following his service in the Army, he earned a degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering Technology, applying his skills with precision and integrity throughout his career. As an electrician, John was renowned for his unwavering work ethic and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
John found great joy in leadership and mentoring in the Boy Scouts. John was proud to watch his sons rise up the ranks in the Boy Scouts. Matthew and Joseph earned the rank of Eagle Scout. John's leadership and commitment left a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Josephine, and their seven children: Sharon (Eric Updike), John Daniel, Jamie (Brian McDonald), Christina, Matthew (Katherine), Joseph, and Christopher. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donato and Elvira, his sister Rita, and survived by his sibling Philomena (Lou) Surricchio.
Funeral Services will be held in his honor on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Colman Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore PA 19003. A Viewing will held from 9 to 9:45 am, followed by Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment is private.
